María Linares is an artist focused on video and participatory art actions on prejudice and racism. After receiving various grants (Art in Public Space 2017 Dresden, Madrid Procesos, Berlin Senate 2011), she has been active in various committees including the Advisory Committee Art of the Senate Berlin and the Expert Commission Art in Public Space. She is Chairwoman of the IGBK and Board Spokesperson for the German Artists Association (Deutscher Künstlerbund e.V.). From 2015 to 2022, she completed her doctorate in the field of free art at the Bauhaus University Weimar.
