Kristina Leko is an interdisciplinary artist, activist and educator. Interaction, and (self-) empowerment with alternative narratives in public space is the focus of her participatory/collaborative practice. She engages with urban intervention, documentary film, performance, happening and exhibition. Since 2013 she teaches social art practice at UdK Berlin (Institute for Art in Context). Since 2018 she is jury member for art in public space of the city of Stuttgart and has received recognition for her work on commemoratiove culture and social innovation.
