As an artist, scholar, producer and curator, Gary Stewart focuses on innovation, identity, culture, art and technology for narratives in public spaces, galleries and museums. Inspired by pop culture, archives, history and mythology, he creates memory spaces for disenfranchised people. From 1995 to 2010, he was director of new media at the Institute of International Visual Arts in London. In 2011, he founded Dubmorphology (London). He teaches (Queen Mary University of London, Goldsmiths College, University of London), mentors (Tate Modern/Tate Exchange) and realizes international art projects as lead artist/curator (British Council).
