Mithu Sanyal is a writer, scholar, literary critic, journalist and radio playwright. She writes for international newspapers (The European, The Guardian, DIE ZEIT, SZ, NZZ, FAZ), is a jury member of the Peace Prize of the German Book Trade and the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize. Her books include: Vulva (2009), Rape. Aspects of a Crime (2016), Identitti (2021, shortlisted for the German Book Prize) and Mithu Sanyal on Emily Brontë (2022). A book on armed resistance to Britain‘s colonialism is about to be published.
