"There is no better place for the Decolonial Memorial than the One World Center on the site of the former Kindelbrauerei, in the Berlin Global Village. This is where civil society initiatives, NGOs and migrant-diasporic associations come together, which is precisely why the Decolonial Memorial belongs here. My hope for the Decolonial Memorial project and the Berlin Global Village is that the very necessary and overdue debate on decolonization will be brought into our society from here. It is high time to address the many blind spots in our culture of remembrance."
