Dwi Januartanto is an artist from Lamongan, currently working in Surabaya, Indonesia. He earned his degree in fine arts education from Universitas Negeri Surabaya. Januartanto's career began with his participation in the 2009 Jatim Biennale. He founded the Serbuk Kayu art collective in Surabaya in 2011, which remains active today. His artworks frequently explore the relationship between meaning and environment using various art media. His pieces tackle themes such as philosophy, humor, socio-economics, agriculture, popular culture, and everyday language through practices of Decolonial Aesthesis. Januartanto organized two solo exhibitions in 2018 and 2022, and has received numerous accolades, including the UOB Painting of the Year Gold Award in 2019, the East Java Governor's Award in 2019, and was a finalist in the Trimatra Salihara in 2016 and the Surabaya Art Award in 2012.
