Berlin Global Village's digital hub project aims to convert the top floor of the old building into additional office space. This additional floor is reserved for digital (political) non-governmental organizations. In this way, the developmental, migrant-diasporic orientation is expanded by tech and digital organizations to create a synergy between the present and the future.

This year, planning applications will be submitted to the building authorities and initial planning will be carried out with construction companies. The architects from the Anne Lampen office (already active in the development of the new building and in an advisory position for the Decolonial Monument) have drawn up the designs for the preliminary planning of the Digital Hub and will support us during the redesign of the attic.
At the same time, we are continuing to work on the programmatic direction of the Digital Hub. Last year, the focus of the foundation work was on building networks and funding. This year, the existing resources will be formalized and accompanied by further community-building processes. An important aspect is the needs analysis of the physical and digital infrastructure.
