We warmly invite you to the BGV Jour Fixe, held on the first Monday of every month from 1:00–2:00 PM in the Lounge on the 4th floor of the new Berlin Global Village building.
The BGV Jour Fixe is your opportunity to get to know the people and organizations that make up Berlin Global Village—or to introduce yourself to the community. It's an hour of networking for everyone. We created the BGV Jour Fixe as a space for getting to know one another, exchanging ideas, and sharing information.
Vegan and vegetarian food is always provided.
We are regularly looking for an NGO or project to introduce itself during the Jour Fixe (a 5-minute informal presentation—no slides or formal presentation required). If you're interested, please get in touch with Armin.
Do you have a topic you'd like to bring to the group? Let us know in advance, or simply bring it up during the Jour Fixe.
We look forward to seeing you there!
We host at least four exhibitions each year in our Begegnungscafé, covering themes related to development policy as well as migrant and diaspora perspectives and cultural contexts. These exhibitions give visitors the opportunity to engage with different aspects of global and local issues.
Each exhibition has its own focus and reflects current social or cultural questions that affect both local and international communities. Through collaboration with artists, NGOs, and social initiatives, we create diverse and interactive presentations that encourage discussion and reflection. The exhibitions are often accompanied by additional events such as talks, workshops, or discussion sessions that further explore and deepen the theme of the exhibition.
The annual Project Fair is an opportunity for you and the other organizations to jointly develop ideas for projects. Here you can present your own projects and connect with others to build something together—whether in the field of development policy, migration, or intercultural exchange.
The aim is to create synergies and combine your expertise in order to find innovative solutions to social challenges. The Project Fair is a great opportunity to form new partnerships and to launch concrete, impactful projects together.
We offer 10 guided tours each year that provide in-depth insights into the history, working methods, and thematic focus areas of the center. A particular highlight is the Decolonial Monument, which represents a central element of our work. The tours are a great opportunity to learn more about the vision and initiatives of BGV.
The tours are designed for groups (minimum of 5 people), last approximately one hour, and are free of charge. If you or your colleagues are interested in joining a tour, please feel free to contact Jeanne or Armin. We also greatly appreciate it if you share this offer within your networks!
As our event spaces are not heavily booked during the summer holiday period, we would like to offer the following opportunity each year:
Free use of seminar rooms for summer holiday programmes for children and young people.
This offer is aimed at organizations based in Berlin Global Village that would like to run a programme for children and young people in August. If several organizations are interested, we are happy to support networking and coordination between the different offers.
Requirements
If you are interested, please contact the event office on the ground floor or write to event@berlin-global-village.de for further planning.
