Haus der Kulturen Lateinamerikas e.V. was founded in 1999 with the aim of promoting links between Germany and Latin America. Members of the association can be corporate bodies or individuals.
With the project "Casa Latinoamericana in Berlin", which is financially supported by the Senate Department for Integration and Migration, in particular by the Integration Commissioner of the Senate of the State of Berlin, the association "Haus der Kulturen Lateinamerikas e.V." wants to act as a "house" that offers various social and cultural activities under one roof in Berlin and opens up a new perspective for professional and non-professional Latin Americans* in Berlin. Casa Latinoamericana is a mouthpiece for the Latin American community.
As a service centre, Casa Latinoamericana takes on an important integration task: it supports and strengthens people in their opportunities for participation and contributes to the intercultural opening of institutions (e.g. kindergartens and schools).
With its comprehensive counselling services, courses, workshops, seminars and integrated childcare, Casa Latinoamericana also serves family integration.
