The agl was founded in 1999 with the aim of supporting the many local development policy associations and initiatives in their civil society commitment and strengthening the structures of One World work. With its 16 members - the Eine Welt state networks - the association advocates for future-oriented global development based on the principles of social justice, ecological sustainability, democracy and participation.
