BER - Berliner Entwicklungspolitischer Ratschlag e.V.
More and more funding providers are making support for development projects conditional on sponsoring organizations having a child protection policy - especially when children and young people are part of the target group.
In this workshop we will explain the central components of a child protection policy, in particular prevention and intervention measures.Since every organization needs a specific protection concept, we work in a practical manner. You can expect a mixture of information, discussion and development of usable building blocks for your protection concept.
The focus is on a child rights-based approach: protection concepts should not patronize children, but rather strengthen their rights, perspectives and self-protection skills. In addition, we take into account different forms of violence and their interconnections - for example through discrimination or digital forms of violence.
The workshop is aimed both at employees of development NGOs who do not yet have a protection concept, as well as at organizations who would like to further develop or review existing guidelines.
