Embracing Diversity, Enabling Participation, Dismantling Power Structures – Berlin Global Village takes another step toward a more just and inclusive society.
With our new Guideline for Diversity and Social Inclusion, we are making a clear commitment to creating a work and event environment that is as free as possible from barriers and discrimination.
It serves as a guideline for ongoing efforts to build an inclusive center that breaks down existing barriers, ensures participatory decision-making, and enables equal access and engagement for all. It outlines our understanding of various dimensions of diversity, includes self-assessment, and defines strategic goals and concrete measures for implementation.
The guideline is available in German, English, French, and Spanish. A Portuguese version is currently in development. An illustrated summary is also available in German.
We acknowledge that the use of these languages is not decolonial in practice, however we have chosen them at this time to ensure the broadest possible accessibility.
