Berlin Global Village – the One World Center in Berlin is a visible place for people, initiatives, and organizations committed to social change and global justice. As a center with a clear stance, it is also a vibrant network and a social space of cooperation—for both users and visitors.
Around 50 development-focused and migrant-diasporic NGOs work here. The public event spaces host a wide range of political and cultural programs for the city’s communities. As the operator of the center, Berlin Global Village gGmbH promotes collaboration, exchange, and networking, and pools resources through shared infrastructure and opportunities.
The Berlin Global Village is a place for encounters, cooperation and learning. Check out our beautiful seminar rooms and event spaces for panel discussions, seminars, conferences, culture performances and much more.
Approximately 50 migrant-diasporic and development policy oriented non-profits are located at the center. We are the home of small volunteer associations, large non-governmental organizations, and state and federal umbrella organizations, forming a strong network with a unique variety of topics related to global social justice.
In addition to the organizations located in the center, we have a variety of spaces and offers available to the general public. Take a look at spaces and offers open to everyone.
With Sankofa Stages – Amplifying African and Black Voices, a new cultural series launched at Berlin Global Village this fall, centering African and Black art and cultural production in Berlin. From exhibition and concert to film night, reading and live music, Sankofa Stages became a space for encounter, exchange, laughter and dancing. On the blog, we look back at the first edition – and share why we’re already looking forward to next fall.
You are a migrant-diasporic NGO looking for office space? Then move in with us! Around 135 sqm of space is becoming available at Berlin Global Village — perfect for one large NGO or several smaller organizations.
Starting in October 2025, a new cultural event series – Sankofa Stages – launches at Berlin Global Village, centering African and Afro-diasporic perspectives. The events bring together established, emerging, and experimental artists, musicians, filmmakers, and other cultural practitioners. Free of charge every first Thursday of the month at Berlin Global Village!
At the core of the book launch and workshop are the questions of how diversity development and power-critical collaboration can be sustained in times of global crises – and what forms of collaboration between activism, academia, and cultural institutions remain possible despite shrinking spaces for freedom.
