Photo Exhibition: “Von Douala nach Berlin”

The exhibition shows the results of a 2014 photography and journalism workshop for young people from Bépanda, a district in Douala, Cameroon. Young people present everyday stories and biographies of people from their neighbourhood. A very personal view of the life of the people in Bépanda.

By exhibiting the pictures in Germany, the Initiative Perspektivwechsel e.V. wants to counter one-dimensional European reporting and clichéd images of Africa.

Until 29 September, you can see the photo exhibition “From Douala to Berlin” in our lounge in cooperation with the Initiative Perspektivwechsel.
