As a center, Berlin Global Village offers unique added value: it brings together people and organizations working on a wide range of issues while also making their activities directly accessible on site. From global learning programs for schools, children, young people, and families to fair trade products, counseling services, and cultural events, there is a rich and diverse range of offerings. Ludothek global

Ludothek global

The Global Toy Library (Ludothek global) is a place for play, learning, and social interaction for children aged 0 to 10, accompanied by their parents, other caregiving adults, or professionals. It is aimed at families, children together with their individual support workers, as well as daycare and school groups with their caregivers.

Filled with interesting and valuable toys that invite children to try things out, focus deeply, and get creative, you are warmly invited to visit every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., as well as Wednesday and Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. No prior registration is required—just drop by!

WeltRaum

At the EPIZ e.V. WeltRaum, we bring the world to us, enabling an immersive experience of Global Learning. This special extracurricular learning space offers children, young people, teachers, and other interested individuals the opportunity to explore perspectives from different countries without having to travel.

In the WeltRaum, a variety of learning stations are available using tablets, headphones, and virtual reality headsets. These stations use interactive and participatory formats that break down traditional teaching/learning hierarchies, engage multiple senses, and connect educators and learners.

Bibliothek des Globalen Lernens

In the media library of EPIZ e.V. parents, teachers, and preschool staff can borrow nearly 5,000 materials, including children’s books, graphic novels, nonfiction books, magazines, and teaching resources such as simulation games, board games, and themed kits for Global Learning. The materials represent diverse lived realities and are curated to avoid reproducing stereotypes. 

Borrowing books is free of charge. Opening hours are Tues & Thurs, 15.00 – 18.00.

Casa de las Culturas Latinoamerica e.V.

Casa de las Culturas Latinoamerica e.V.

From Spanish lanuage lessons from native speakers to Zumba, salsa, bachata, merengue, cha cha cha, mambo and folklore dances, Casa de las Culturas Latinoamerica has a wide vareity of offers for the public. 

Casa promotes intercultural exchange through events, and the library “Street Children Worldwide” provides educators, students, and interested individuals with materials and specialist literature on the topic of street children as a global phenomenon.

Afrika Yetu e.V.

Afrika Yetu e.V.  offers Kizomba, Salsa (Afro-Cuban style), and Samba classes at the Kubata here in the Berlin Global Village. Every Wednesday is our Salsa day (Afro-Cuban style), and every Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday are our Kizomba days (authentic Angolan style).

Casa de las Culturas Latinoamerica e.V. offers social counseling and support with everyday and administrative matters—such as housing, employment, health, or education—in Spanish and German, and in Portuguese if needed.

There is also additional counseling available exclusively for women.
