Call to Action for the Global Women*’s Strike, March 9 | 12–2 PM, ENOUGH! GENUG!

Because injustices affect every area of our lives – because we face a general attack on our bodies, our ideas and social visions – we’re calling all women* at the Kindl site, in the neighborhood, and across our networks:

Stop working. Come together. Show your anger. Be loud. Be visible.

Where: In front of the steps of Berlin Global Village (Am Sudhaus 2)
When: Monday, March 9, 12–2 PM

Program:
1.    12:00 PM Start of the strike & Open Mic / Speakers’ Corner
Anyone who would like to speak is warmly invited to take the microphone (2 minutes per person).
2.    1:00 PM Flash mob with 1 minute of screaming and 1 minute Inaction
We lie down or kneel to rise up stronger. 
3.    Until 2:00 PM Exchange and networking with music and free drinks

We are also looking for men to take on supportive roles behind the scenes: making coffee, tea, and running the drinks station or helping with safety during the flash mob. Please get in touch at: werther@eineweltstadt.berlin

We join more than 40 groups worldwide calling for diverse forms of protest and action around International Women’s Day. This day of protest is a necessary response to the growing global threat, impoverishment, and discrimination of women* in all their diversity: ENOUGH of endless wars – waged by autocrats against dissenters, against human rights, international law, and freedom of expression and the press.
