Solveig Köbe has already been active with us in eight missions.Most recently she worked in Sudan, where a brutal war has been raging for four years, and in Afghanistan.

"I was deployed in Afghanistan four years ago. Since then, the situation has gotten even worse," reports Köbe."After international aid funds, especially from the USA, were cut, more than 400 health facilities in the country had to close. We clearly felt the consequences in our project in Mazar-e Sharif: more and more parents had to travel even greater distances to find help for their sick children. Our ward was overcrowded. We sometimes cared for three children per bed."

Solveig Köbe will show photos and clearly explain the processes in our projects.After the lecture, you can ask her and other employees questions about our operations in war and crisis areas worldwide.
