On 17 May 2022, we welcomed participants from an international study trip from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) to the Berlin Global Village. The topic of the study trip was the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The students and faculty from the fields of social work, public administration, human resources, labour law, gender studies and social policy from all over Europe had chosen Berlin Global Village as an example for good practice.
Their questions were as interdisciplinary as the student body. We talked about funding, diversity in the centre and how to face these complicated realities with good strategies. True to the motto: We are not perfect, but we are making an honest attempt. Therefore, we appreciate the interest, the exchange and critical enquiries.
After the tour, the group could also get to know two resident organisations: DaMigra and moveGLOBAL, which presented their work.
